Our Story
​
Ben Jemia Engineering is a family-owned engineering office with over 40 years of experience in structural design for metallic structures and pressure vessels. Founded in 1993 by Hedi Ben Jemia, a civil engineer with a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from ENIT (National Engineering School of Tunis) in Tunisia, the office has built a reputation for delivering valuable consultancy services to its partners and clients.
1984-1993
Hedi began his career as a civil engineer at Tunisie Consult S.A., a joint venture involving the renowned Danish firm Ramboll & Hanneman. After five years, he joined Société Générale Industrielle, a construction company specializing in industrial and petroleum facilities, as head of the engineering department. After another five years at Société Générale Industrielle (SGI), he left the company to start his own office as an independent civil engineering consultant.
1993-2023
Over the past 30 years, the office has completed a wide range of projects, including the design of steel structures for buildings, industrial facilities, and airports, as well as the design of pressure vessels for the oil and gas industry. The office operates primarily in Tunisia but has also completed numerous projects in Africa and the Middle East.
Today
In 2023, the office took the name Ben Jemia Engineering with the aim of expanding its services into Europe, starting in Germany with the first office in Munich.
